“Do you have to get so close?” The question has been put to me more than once, with camera in hand. I don’t know if it has to do with my near-sightedness, but to study things up close has always fascinated me. Up close, shapes and details appear, who at a first hasty glance go unnoticed. With camera in hand, I can lay on the the ground for a long time in the persuit of the most interesting angle. At least until ants and ticks make themselves known.
